Make your mark as technical superintendentdocking and ship repairs at our Abu Dhabi branch office forBoskalis Offshore Energy. In this role you are responsible toprepare and execute dockings and ship repairs coordinate daytodaymaintenance and repair activities of the assigned vessel includingresolving technical issues during ship repairsprojects.
It is essential for technicalsuperintendent to have the ability to work in a planned andindependent way. You must have an eye for detail but you shouldcertainly never lose sight of the bigger picture and not to beafraid to ask questions.
Yourresponsibilities as a technical superintendent docking and shiprepairs are:
- Overseeingthe planning and execution of docking and ship repair projectsensuring efficiency and safety.
- Managingbudgets guaranteeing precise cost allocation for docking and repairactivities.
- Handling statutory surveysmaintaining vessel and equipment compliance with Classstandards.
- Assuming technical responsibilityfor vessel and equipment performance along with accurate reportingon maintenance docking andrepairs.
- Coordinating a multidisciplinary teamimplementing best practices and facilitating effectivecommunication in Fleetmanagement.
Yourqualities
You can make your mark astechnical superintendent docking and ship repairs if youhave:
- A bachelors degree in mechanicalengineering naval architecture or maritimeengineering.
- 3 5 years of relevant nauticalexperience in a maritime environment. Prior experience in dockingsand ship repairs.
- Fully conversant with thelegislative and regulatory requirements for marineassets.
- Good command of English written andspoken.
- Team player problem solver goodcommunication skills and takinginitiative.
