The successful candidate will play a critical rolein designing and developing instrumentation systems for various oiland gas processes ensuring compliance with project specificationsindustry standards and ADNOCs requirements.

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instrumentation Design: Prepare detailedinstrumentation drawings (P&ID loop diagrams instrumentlocation plans hookup drawings wiring diagrams etc. in accordancewith project specifications and relevant standards (ANSI IEC ISOASME etc..
  • System Design &Coordination: Design control systems including control panels fieldinstrumentation and associated systems and ensure integration withthe plants overall systems.
  • DesignCalculations: Perform calculations related to instrument sizingsuch as pressure flow temperature and level measurements and ensurecompliance with safety and operationalspecifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closelywith engineers and other team members including Process Mechanicaland Electrical Engineers to ensure that designs meet the projectstechnical requirements.
  • Materials &Specifications: Ensure all instrumentation materials are specifiedcorrectly and meet the design criteria. Review and validateinstrument data sheets.
  • Review &Approval: Participate in design reviews HAZOP (Hazard andOperability) studies and other quality control processes. Addressand resolve any designrelatedissues.
  • Compliance: Ensure that designs complywith applicable safety regulations industry standards and ADNOCsquality standards.
  • Vendor Liaison: Work withvendors for selecting and procuring instruments ensuring propercoordination for instrumentationdeliveries.
  • Project Documentation: Maintainaccurate and uptodate design documentation and reports throughoutthe project lifecycle.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Instrumentation EngineeringElectrical Engineering or relatedfield.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as anInstrumentation Designer in Oil & Gas EPC projects with aproven track record in the design of instrumentation systems inupstream oil and gas facilities.
  • Proficiency inAutoCAD and other design software tools forinstrumentation.
  • Solid understanding ofP&ID loop diagrams instrument data sheets and otherrelevant technical documents.
  • Familiarity withcontrol systems (DCS PLC SCADA) and associatedinstrumentation.
  • Strong knowledge ofinternational codes and standards (e.g. IEC 61511 ISA84 ANSI andlocal UAE standards).
  • Experience in designingsystems for oil & gas onshore production facilitiesrefineries or petrochemical plants is amust.
