• Welcome customersinto the store; identify their needs through asking questions;recommend and demonstrate appropriate products; recommend linkproducts; close the sale; provide professional till point service;follow up with regular customers; maintain personal groomingstandards; deal professionally with customer complaints. Advisecustomers about promotions in store

•Ensure product / hygiene guidelines and merchandise of products, asper the defined standards

• Rotatestocks to ensure that existing stock is displayed in front of newitems on the shelves

• Maintainhousekeeping standards, including windowdisplays

• Check stock levels dailyand recommend orders to the store manager / counter supervisor inorder to replenish and maintain optimum stocklevels

• Ensure all store and officeadministration, as per manager's request, is completedaccurately and on time, including customer databasecards

• Comply with all companypolicies and procedures

They may workin spas, salons, or as freelance professionals, offering serviceslike skincare, hair removal, makeup application, and other cosmetictreatments. A Beauty Specialist is knowledgeable about differentbeauty techniques and products, ensuring clients receivepersonalized care and treatment tailored to their individualneeds.

Key Responsibilities of aBeautySpecialist:

1.Skincare and FacialTreatments

  • Skinanalysis: Assess clients' skin types andconditions to recommend suitable skincare products andtreatments.
  • Facialtreatments: Perform facials to cleanse, exfoliate,and treat clients' skin, using products suited for theirskin type (e.g., anti-aging, acne treatments,hydration).
  • Advanced skintreatments: Offer services such asmicrodermabrasion, chemical peels, or dermaplaning for moreintensive skin care.

2.HairRemoval

  • Waxingand sugaring: Provide hair removal services forvarious body areas, including eyebrows, legs, arms, and bikiniareas.
  • Threading: Offer threading services, especially for facial hair removal (e.g.,eyebrows, upper lip).
  • Laser hairremoval: Administer laser treatments for long-termhair reduction (if certified andtrained).

3. MakeupApplication

  • Makeupservices: Apply makeup for various occasions,including daily makeup, special events, bridal, or eveninglooks.
  • Makeupconsultation: Advise clients on makeup techniques,product recommendations, and colors that suit their skin tone andpreferences.
  • Bridal and specialoccasion makeup: Specialize in makeup applicationsfor weddings, photoshoots, and otherevents.

4. BodyTreatments

  • Bodywraps and scrubs: Perform treatments like bodywraps, exfoliation scrubs, or mud treatments to improve skintexture and relaxation.
  • Massagetherapies: Offer services like relaxing bodymassages or lymphatic drainage massages to promote relaxation andrejuvenation.

5. NailCare

  • Manicuresand pedicures: Provide nail care services such asmanicures, pedicures, and nail art, including gel and acrylicnails.
  • Nailtreatments: Offer treatments like cuticle care, nailstrengthening, and hand or footmassages.

6. ClientConsultation and PersonalizedCare

  • Personalizedbeauty plans: Assess clients' beauty goalsand recommend suitable treatments, products, and routines toachieve the desiredresults.
  • Productrecommendations: Advise clients on skincare, makeup,and hair products that would work best for their needs, and helpthem select the right products for homeuse.
  • Clienteducation: Educate clients about proper skincare,makeup application techniques, and how to maintain their beautytreatments at home.

7.Maintaining Cleanliness andHygiene

  • Sanitizationpractices: Follow strict hygiene protocols bycleaning tools, equipment, and workstations before and after eachclient to maintain a safe and sanitaryenvironment.
  • Producthandling: Ensure that products are properly stored,and handled in accordance with safety and qualityguidelines.

8. RetailSales and ProductKnowledge

  • Sellingbeauty products: Promote and sell beauty products(e.g., skincare, makeup) to clients, educating them on the benefitsand uses of differentitems.
  • Inventorymanagement: Assist in inventory management bytracking product usage, ensuring products are stocked, andreplenishing supplies whennecessary.

9. KeepingUp withTrends

  • Stayingupdated on trends: Stay current with the latestbeauty trends, techniques, and products by attending trainingsessions, workshops, and following industrydevelopments.
  • Adapting to newtechnologies: Learn and apply new beautytechnologies, such as LED light therapy, microcurrent facials, orother innovative skin and beautytreatments.
