ELV Extra Low Voltage Engineer

The ELV Engineer is responsible for thedesign installation testing and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage(ELV) systems in construction projects. This includes overseeingstructured cabling CCTV access control public address fire alarmBMS and other lowvoltage systems. The role requires closecoordination with clients consultants and subcontractors to ensurecompliance with project specifications safety standards andindustry regulations.

  • Design &Engineering:
    • Develop ELV system designsspecifications and layouts based on projectrequirements.
    • Review and approve ELVrelateddrawings schematics and BOQs (Bill ofQuantities).
    • Ensure designs comply withinternational and local codes standards and clientspecifications.
    • Assist in preparing technicalsubmittals and materialapprovals.
  • ProjectExecution & Coordination:
    • Supervise theinstallation and commissioning of ELV systemsonsite.
    • Coordinate with the consultantsubcontractors and other stakeholders to resolve technicalissues.
    • Ensure proper integration of ELVsystems with other MEP and civil works.
    • Monitorproject progress and ensure adherence to project schedules andmilestones.
    • Conduct site inspections andquality checks to ensure proper execution ofwork.
  • TestingCommissioning & Handover:
    • Overseetesting commissioning and troubleshooting of ELVsystems.
    • Ensure all systems meet projectspecifications functionality requirements and clientexpectations.
    • Prepare and review test reportsinspection reports and handoverdocumentation.
    • Provide training and support toendusers and maintenance teams asrequired.
  • Compliance& Safety:
    • Ensure all ELV works arecarried out in compliance with safety regulations and industry bestpractices.
    • Identify potential risks andimplement mitigation measures to maintain a safe workingenvironment.
    • Stay updated with relevant ELVcodes standards and emergingtechnologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Telecommunications ora related field.
  • At least 58 years inELV systems within largescale construction projects preferably inTier 1 companies.
  • Certifications (preferred):BICSI KNX Cisco Avaya or other relevant ELVcertifications.
  • Expertise in ELV systems suchas CCTV access control fire alarms BMS structured cabling andnetworking.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Revit(preferred) MS Office and ELV designtools.
  • Strong verbal and written communicationfor stakeholder coordination.
  • Good Englishcommunication skills
  • Candidatemust be readilyavailable.
