  • Design all Extra Low Voltage (ELV)systems including but not limited to Telecommunication, PAVA, AVSystems, Electronic Security Systems, Structured Cabling Systemincluding Passive and Active components design, from conceptualdesign phase to construction phase.
  • Producecompliant design with all local authorities (Etisalat, Du, ADMMC,SIRA, etc.).
  • Collaborate with project managers,architects and other engineers to ensure seamless integration ofELV systems into overall projectdesigns.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings,block diagrams, specifications, and documentation for ELVsystems.
  • Produce necessary ELV calculationsincluding CCTV Field of View and Lense Calculation, Recording Timeand Capacity Calculation, Wi-Fi Heat maps,etc.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments todetermine project requirements andconstraints.
  • Provide technical guidance andmentorship to junior engineers andtechnicians.
  • Ensure compliance with industrystandards, codes, and regulations.
  • Participatein project meetings and provide technical expertise to clients andstakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree inElectrical Engineering or a relatedfield.
  • Brings over 8 years of experience in aninternational design firm, specializing in ELV systems design, withat least 5 years experience in the Middle East, preferably in theUAE.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and otherdesign software.
  • Strong knowledge of ELVsystems, including security systems, telecommunications,audiovisual systems and buildingautomation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skillsand attention to detail.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.

  • ELVSystem Design : Expertise in designing extra lowvoltage systems, such as:
    • FireAlarmSystems

  • Compliance withStandards : Familiarity with national andinternational electrical standards and regulations, such as BS,IEC, NEC, and UL for ELVsystems.
  • Integration ofSystems : Ability to design ELV systems that areintegrated with other building systems like HVAC, lighting, andcontrol systems.
  • EnergyEfficiency : Understanding of energy-efficient designpractices and the integration of renewable energy solutions whereapplicable.

2. DesignSoftwareProficiency

  • CADSoftware : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similardesign software to create detailed layouts and schematics for ELVsystems.
  • BIM (BuildingInformation Modeling) : Experience with BIM tools tointegrate ELV systems with other building designs in a 3Denvironment.
  • Simulation andAnalysis Tools : Familiarity with software forperformance simulations and calculations for system load and designoptimization (e.g., Dialux, DIALux evo for lighting, or other toolsfor security systems).

3.ProjectManagement

  • ProjectPlanning and Coordination : Experience in managingthe full lifecycle of ELV projects, from concept and design toinstallation and commissioning. Familiar with project timelines,resource allocation, and milestonetracking.
  • BudgetManagement : Ability to estimate project costs andmanage budgets, ensuring projects stay within financialconstraints.
  • TeamLeadership : Leading and mentoring junior engineersand technicians, ensuring design integrity and adherence to safetystandards.
  • Vendor and SupplierCoordination : Managing relationships with suppliersof ELV equipment and components, ensuring timely delivery andquality assurance.

4.Problem-Solving andTroubleshooting

  • SystemDiagnostics and Optimization : Ability totroubleshoot and resolve issues with installed systems, ensuringoptimal performance and minimaldowntime.
  • SystemIntegration : Ensuring that ELV systems functionseamlessly with other building systems, identifying potentialconflicts during the designphase.

5.Communication and ClientInteraction
