In this role you will be responsible forpreparing executing and analyzing test results helping to ensureproject success and operational efficiency.
WhatYoull Do:
Prepare and execute tests for rollingstock vehicles ensuring all necessary equipment is in place for thetimely execution of the test program.
Conduct tests onsystems such as propulsion brakes air and pneumatics (includingsanding and levelling) doors (internal & external) PISdisplays and communication systems Train Control Management Systems(TCMS) and CCTV/DOO.
Analyze and manage test data andprepare detailed static and dynamic test reports.
In theevent of nonconformities during the commissioning phase reportissues including defect descriptions and test contexts and ensurethey are logged using the appropriate tools.
Ensurefollowup on detected issues and provide comprehensive commissioningreports.
Verify that all test tools are properlycalibrated and in working order.
Collaborate with theVerification & Validation (V&V) team and performlab tests as required.
Use diagnostics software and readelectrical and mechanical schematics to troubleshootissues.
Support the railway signaling system projectsidentifying defects and providing troubleshootingassistance.
Qualifications :
Engineering degree(preferably in electronics embedded systems or a related field) orequivalent experience.
Demonstrable knowledge of rollingstock vehicles and railway signaling systems.
Proficiencyin using diagnostics software and software loading tools.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanicalschematics.
Prior experience working within the railindustry in a similar role is essential.
Relevant NVQqualification orequivalent.
AdditionalInformation :
Strongmechanical or electrical background particularly within the rollingstock industry.
Flexibility to work on short or longtermassignments in various locations and countries.
Willingness to work nights weekends and public holidays whenrequired.
A strong communicator (both written and verbal)who can confidently engage with various stakeholders.
Ateam player with strong problemsolving abilities capable ofthinking analytically to resolve complex system issues.
Quick thinker decisive and able to show strong initiative andselfdetermination.
