Purpose for therole:

To manage completedrenewable assets that have been transferred to the asset managementfunction by ways of managing the financial models improvingoperations & financing conditions where applicable andidentifying & mitigating the associated risks to ensureoptimization of asset value and return toMasdar.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Managethe assigned asset proactively from a financial and commercialperspective to optimize value and returns. Monitor and control theperformance of the assigned assets and report to senior managementaccordingly.
  • Manage and update stakeholdersproactively on the performance of the assigned assetportfolio
  • Identify relevant risks at earlystage and communicate mitigationproposals.
  • Manage key contracts relating to theasset e.g Operating & Maintenance (O&M) contractPower Purchase Agreement (PPA) & General Power ofAppointment (GPA) where applicable.
  • Executeportfolio activities across multiple energy and preferablyrenewable operating assets.
  • Manage and updatethe Financial Models (FM) relating to the assignedassets
  • Complete lenders requirements relatingto revisions / updates of the FMs to ensure they are availabletimely and accurately in line with relevantprocedures
  • Develop professional relationshipswith Masdar Investment Partners (e.g. JVs) and actively participatein meetings ensuring adequate representation of Masdar and itsinterests at all times.
  • Conduct regularinteraction with investment partners and contribute to accurateinformation exchange through various reportsetc.
  • Provide required financial analysis anddeliver assistance in the process of evaluations of exitoptions.
  • Review the FM and relevant documentsavailable in data room and provide input to the team handling theinvestment appraisal.
  • Act as a focal point toproviders of thirdparty financing for assigned assetsand identifyand manage the implementation of refinancing levers for valueenhancement.
  • Maintain relationships withfinancing parties to understand market status andtrends.
  • Facilitate information gathering fromother portfolio managers.
  • Act as a focalpointwith external providers of business intelligence services in orderto support informed decision making throughintelligence.
  • Synthesize external and internalinformation into a timely and efficient reporting format forinternal distribution.
  • Build and maintain anetwork of relevant contacts to support daily activities andlongterm objectives of the team.
  • Engage withand monitor relationships with internal and external stakeholdersin order to ensure adequate knowledge transfer and completion ofservices as per agreed parameters.
  • Preparerelevant reports and updates as required and to the desiredstandard.
  • Provide management information as andwhen required by the line manager this includes the production andtimely provision of accurate reports in line with reportingschedules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorsdegree in engineering or related field
  • MBA orrelevant Masters degree is anasset

PreferredExperience:

  • 68years experience in financial analysis operational enhancementprojects restructuring and value based management in a relevantsector

  • Good understanding of relevant rulesand regulations
  • MUST have MENA experiencepreference will be given to people already based in theUAE
