Roles and responsibilities

The primary purpose is to manage andexercise oversight of the development and implementation of aneffective security strategy and solution for existing and new DataCenters in Bangkok. This includes the prevention and mitigation ofsecurity risks, securing of company and customer assets,information and data, safeguarding of personnel, customers andvisitors.

This role is currently planned tohave responsibility for our up and coming Data Centers in Bangkok;however the intention is for this role to develop as the businessexpands across the country and region. The successful candidate isrequired to have the experience in dealing with multiplesites.

1. Leadership and TeamManagement

  • Strongsupervisory skills to manage and motivate securitystaff.
  • Ability to lead teams in high-pressuresituations and during emergencies.
  • Conflictresolution skills to handle disputes or issues among securitypersonnel or with the generalpublic.

2. Knowledge ofSecurity Procedures andProtocols

  • In-depthunderstanding of security systems, protocols, and bestpractices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems,CCTV, alarm systems, and access controltechnologies.
  • Experience with physical securitymeasures (e.g., locks, barriers) and emergency responseplans.

3. RiskAssessment andManagement

  • Ability toassess security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and implementsolutions to prevent threats.
  • Skilled inevaluating potential risks and devising strategies to address andmitigate those risks.
  • Regularly conductingsecurity audits and assessments to ensure compliance with safetystandards.

4. EmergencyResponse and CrisisManagement

  • Expertise inresponding to various emergency situations such as fires,break-ins, medical emergencies, or naturaldisasters.
  • Ability to train security staff andothers in emergency response and evacuationprocedures.
  • Quick decision-making inhigh-stress environments to ensure the safety of people andassets.

5.CommunicationSkills

  • Clear andeffective communication with security teams, senior management,employees, and law enforcement.
  • Writing andmaintaining reports related to incidents, security breaches, oraccidents.
  • Strong verbal communication to relaysecurity concerns or update stakeholders in a clear and concisemanner.

6. Attention toDetail

  • Ability tomonitor and detect potential security threats orbreaches.
  • Strong observation skills to spotsuspicious activities and prevent incidents before theyescalate.
  • Ensuring that security logs, reports,and surveillance footage are meticulouslydocumented.

7.Knowledge of Legal and RegulatoryRequirements

  • Understandingof legal aspects of security management, including privacy laws,labor laws, and liability issues.
  • Keeping up todate with any changes in security regulations and ensuringcompliance within the organization.
  • Familiaritywith workplace health and safety standards and regulatoryrequirements for security operations.
Desired candidate profile

Security OperationsManagement:

Assist in the daily operations of thesecurity department, overseeing the work of security personnel,ensuring the proper execution of securityprotocols.
Ensure the effective operation of securitysystems (CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.), maintaining logs, andtroubleshooting any issues with securityequipment.
Monitor security activities across variousshifts, ensuring appropriate coverage and that procedures arefollowed.
Staff Training andDevelopment:

Train and educate security staff onpolicies, procedures, and protocols.
Conduct regulardrills for emergency situations like fires, evacuations, or medicalemergencies.
Oversee the recruitment, scheduling, andperformance management of security personnel.
RiskManagement and Incident Response:

Conduct regularrisk assessments of the premises, identifying potentialvulnerabilities and developing mitigationstrategies.
Respond to security incidents, accidents, orbreaches, documenting all incidents and taking corrective actionswhere necessary.
Ensure the prompt reporting of securitybreaches and follow up on investigations.
EmergencyPreparedness:

Develop and enforce emergencyresponse procedures, ensuring all personnel are familiar withevacuation plans, fire drills, and crisis managementprotocols.
Act as a point of contact during emergencies,ensuring proper coordination between security teams, management,and emergency responders.
Policy Implementation andCompliance:

Assist in the development,implementation, and enforcement of security policies andprocedures.
Ensure compliance with all security-relatedregulations, laws, and organizationalstandards.
Regularly audit security processes to ensurethey meet compliance and performancestandards.
Collaboration with ExternalAuthorities:

Act as a liaison with local lawenforcement, fire departments, or other emergency services whenneeded.
Coordinate security activities with localauthorities in the event of a security breach or large-scaleincident.
Reporting andDocumentation:

Maintain accurate records ofsecurity activities, incidents, and accidents, producing detailedreports for management review.
Analyze security data andincidents to identify trends and areas for improvement in policiesand procedures.
Prepare regular security updates forsenior management, identifying risks and improvementsneeded.
Security TechnologyManagement:

Oversee the installation,maintenance, and functionality of security systems, includingsurveillance cameras, alarms, and access controlsystems.
Ensure proper surveillance and monitoring ofhigh-risk areas, handling data collection and analysis fromsecurity systems.
