Bid Manager Contract Type: Permanent Job Location: United Arab Emirates The Opportunity The Bid Manager will be the initial technical point of contact, offering support or consultancy to customers prior to sales. The Bid Manager will also be responsible for providing quotations for solutions, services, and turnkey business, ensuring that competitive pricing and cutting-edge technology are highlighted. The Bid Manager plays a pivotal role in assisting Area Sales Managers and Contract Administrators with technical guidance during the execution of projects whilst supporting the Project Management throughout project execution with technical and design issues. Prepare, coordinate, submit bids with diversity from simple to complex. Calculate and coordinate quotations for solutions and services and upload in SAP Projects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Contact customers/agents for technical clarifications, active role for technical support to (end) customers before and during the bidding phase. Defend offer internally and occasionally locally in support of the Area Sales Manager. Able to offer different alternatives, pro-actively in case of price issues or in case of deviations from specification. Support of Area Sales Managers at request, e.g. during customer visits to ADB Safegate. Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Write airfield lighting / VDGS / Tower related standards and methods. Contact airfield third party suppliers and installation contractors, prepare RFQs for these, evaluate offers and select the right one for each occasion. Prepare gross BOQs (lights, signs, accessories, circuits, CCRs…) for budgetary offers without AGL/VDGS/Tower Design support. Provide support to other Bid Manager working in the Middle East region. The talent we want to inspire has… Engineer (Aeronautical/Airfield/Airport, Electrical or industrial) or equivalent by experience. 5-7 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge about other Airfield technologies. Expert knowledge of ADB Safegate Product & Solution portfolio, incl. (advanced) customer services is preferred. Knowledge about AGL/VDGS/Tower technologies are preferred. Knowledge of AGL/VDGS/Tower Design and ICAO & FAA Standards. Good knowledge of government tender requirements in Africa.
