Procurement Engineer Instrumentation

What you will need todo:

Sourcing &Procurement:

Identify and evaluate suppliers forinstrumentation and control systems ensuring that they conform toindustry standards and the requirements of theproject.

Prepare and issue RFQs and RFPs forinstrumentation packages.

Carry out technical andcommercial evaluations of bids received from suppliers. Negotiateprice terms and delivery schedule.

Ensure thetimely product/equipment delivery as per the projectstimeline.

Coordinate with different disciplineengineers to ensure that the requirements to be procured are as perthe design and projects specifications.

TechnicalExpertise:

Ensure that procured instrumentationincluding flow meters pressure transmitters level sensors andcontrol valves fulfills project specifications and standards suchas API ISO and IEC. Also interact with engineering teams to verifythe compatibility of equipment with design requirements. Technicalqueries will need to be ironed out along with liaising withsuppliers for clarification during the procurement and installationphases.

VendorManagement

Establish and maintain relationshipswith approved instrumentation vendors andcontractors.

Audit current vendors and assesssupplier performance regarding quality delivery andservice.

Ensure that proper documentationincluding certification test reports and compliance documents aremaintained accordingly.

ProjectCoordination:

Coordinate communicate and liaisewith EPC project teams on procurement strategies that meet projectschedules.

Track orders and delivery schedulesas necessary to ensure the arrival at project sites ontime.

Support installation commissioning andtroubleshooting of instrumentation systems.

CostControl & Compliance:

Track budgets andensure costeffective procurement strategies are realized withoutcompromising quality.

Comply with local andinternational procurement regulations company policies and safetystandards.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree inInstrumentation Engineering Electrical Engineering or a relatedfield.

Minimum 5 years of procurement experiencein the oil and gas sector with a focus on instrumentation andcontrol systems ICSS Field Instrument Telecommunication System andBulk Instrumentation.

Knowledge in ERP softwareor customized Procurement System for easy tracking oftransactions.

Proven knowledge of sourcingstrategies vendor negotiations and technical evaluation ofinstrumentation.

Good presentation analyticaland negotiations skills.

Possesses organizationand time management skills.

Can prioritize andexecute tasks successfully and on time.
