This role involves assessing patients conditions, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing therapy to enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, mental, and social capabilities and determine their needs.
- Develop customized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities.
- Educate patients and their families on how to manage their conditions and improve functionality.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in occupational therapy practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Abu Dhabi.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Certification in specialized areas of occupational therapy (e.g., pediatric, geriatric, neurological).
- Knowledge of the healthcare system in Abu Dhabi and relevant regulations.
