Roles and responsibilities
  • The purpose of the role isresponsible for entire customer and workshop process having theskills for meeting the customer needs by performing all operationsrelated to service and maintenance of Volvo vehicles in Abu Dhabi.A highly skilled service and parts advisor with customerrelationship management skills a must for making this role asuccess. Volvo Personal Service Technician is required to work in ateam with a mindset of delivering value solutions to the customersand able to continuously improve the workshop processes to avoidany downtime and high recovery rates for the organization. VolvoPersonal service technician is expected to complete all principalrecommended trainings, be a benchmark for Al-Futtaim automotive inAftersales and participate in skills competitions for learning anddevelopment.

What you willdo:

  • Responsible for retrieving anddocumenting all relevant information connected to having a completework order at first customercontact.
  • Responsible for customer andproduction planning including giving priceinformation.
  • Responsible for all work orderadministration including invoicing of warranty/goodwill, insurancecases and leasing companies.
  • Responsible foridentifying and ordering of parts, together with workshop supportif needed.
  • Responsible for following Volvomethods when performing all types of jobs in theworkshop.
  • Responsible for following localworkshop standards and routines.
  • Value addedservice sales.
  • Advising customers on theongoing campaigns.
  • Offer value added service tocustomers and ensuring high rate of accessories, tinting, tires,batteries, coatings, paint protection and smart repairs contractsare sold to aftersales customers.
  • Responsiblefor performing product design specification and installingaccessories for customers as well as the salesdepartment.
  • Responsible for refurbishing usedcars with a work order based on the car evaluation provided by thesales department.
  • Perform extended core service(ECS).
  • Responsible for performing external carwash on workshop customers'cars.
  • Responsible for reporting faults ordeviations in the Volvo systems to Volvo to ensure that correctiveactions can be taken.
  • Attend daily meeting andcontribute to continuous improvement through identification ofproblems
  • Responsible for sharing relevantknowledge and findings with the team as well as for bringingproblems to everyone's attention and solving them togetherwith team.
  • Responsible for following up on thecustomers a few days after the workshop visit to fix the customervehicle for the first time with dealerstandards.
Desired candidate profile
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures andproblem-solving skills in resolving repairjobs.
  • Capability to handle special tools andequipment.
  • Capacity for E-Learning and trainingand development plans.
  • Ability to use workshopmanuals and understand wiring diagrams.

Required Skills to besuccessful:

  • - Automotiveexperience.
  • - Technicalskills.
  • - Experience with service andmaintenance in the workshop.
  • - Customermanagement experience.

About theTeam:

  • Reporting to the Aftersales Managerand managing a team and will work closely with internal andexternal stakeholders.

What equips you forthe role:

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Automobile,Mechanical, Industrial, or relatedEngineering.
  • 4 to 5 years overall experience asTechnician and service advisor in automotivedealership.
  • Basic knowledge of ElectricVehicles.
  • Technical skills, customerrelationship management skills and user skills in tools andequipment.
  • Proficient in MicrosoftOffice.
