Job Purpose:

Adventure HQ is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Product Specialist to join our team. This role will involve promoting and supporting our wide range of outdoor adventure products, ensuring that customers have the best experience when choosing equipment for their adventures. You will be the subject matter expert in our products, offering expert advice and ensuring that products are presented, marketed, and sold effectively to meet the needs of our adventurous customers.

Roles and responsibilities:


• Product Expertise: Be the go-to person for all product-related inquiries, providing detailed, expert knowledge on outdoor gear, including camping, hiking, biking, climbing, and other adventure sports equipment.


• Customer Assistance: Assist customers on the shop floor with product selection, offering tailored advice based on their specific adventure needs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.


• Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to drive sales through deep product knowledge, product demonstrations, and promotional support.


• Stock Management: Ensure that product displays are well-maintained, organized, and stocked, and that all items are priced correctly.


• Product Training: Conduct regular training sessions for staff, ensuring they are equipped with up-to-date knowledge of product features and benefits.


• Market Trends & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about the latest trends in outdoor and adventure retail, analyzing competitors' offerings to ensure our product range is relevant and competitive.


• Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback to understand product preferences, concerns, and opportunities for improvement, helping to enhance the product assortment.


• Product Presentations: Assist in the planning and execution of in-store product demonstrations, events, and promotional campaigns.


• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, communicate product availability, and ensure timely reordering to avoid stockouts or overstocking.


• Report Generation: Provide regular updates on product performance, customer insights, and market trends to the Product Manager and other relevant departments.

Qualifications :

  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in retail, particularly in the outdoor, sports, or adventure gear sector.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of outdoor adventure products such as camping equipment, hiking gear, climbing tools, and biking accessories.
  • Customer-Focused: Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and help them make informed decisions.
  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to assist in driving sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and fostering a positive working atmosphere.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with retail management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required (Arabic is a plus).
