Sr. Category Manager, FMS, BBM

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to create world wide strategies for Base Building Reliability (BBR) for multiple business units and operation centers. The person in this role will coordinate and partner with leaders and teams globally across Amazon and lead and interact with our most important professional suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements.This leader will work with RME Design and Construction World Wide Design and Safety to develop and execute category sourcing strategies deliver savings/value and improve productivity across the category.Key job responsibilitiesIdentify develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision-making process of the category roadmap with senior leadership.Build relationships and alignment with internal and external stakeholdersLead supplier performance management; including improving sustainability & social responsibility;Drive alignment and establish success criteria for common or shared goals around Savings and SustainabilityAct as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informedCoordinate and collaborate with local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of your defined strategiesCandidate must be able to travel up to 10%A day in the lifeYou will deliver market leading low-cost innovative and sustainable equipment/services to help our Operations teams succeed and delight customers with speed selection and convenienceYou will collaborate to seek inputs and manage outputs from our external suppliers as well as internal partners across Design & Operations Engineering Workplace Health & Safety Finance and Reliability/Maintenance EngineeringYou may have to adapt and sometimes take different roles from strategy development to project management to rapidly meet customer needsYou will focus on deep diving categories to unlock value and help deploy emerging technologies at scale for OperationsAbout the teamWe are customer inclusive and take a data-informed approach to scalable globally for all our customersWe are Safety-first innovation-first team; we experiment new ideas and challenge old normsWe believe in strategic partnerships to unlock optimal value and cost of ownership across our categoriesWe lead on & advocate Design for Sustainability to help reduce the carbon footprint of our Operations buildings- 3 years of purchasing experience- 3 years of program or project management experience- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership- Bachelors degree- 2 years of driving process improvements experience- Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related fieldOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
