  • Operate processing equipment inaccordance with SOPs, in all classified areas (GradeA/B/C)
  • Complete all necessary paperworkassociated with investigations, deviations andremarks.
  • Use proper aseptic technique whileperforming tasks in the Grade A/B areas to include filling line,routine aseptic interventions (pulling of samples, EM monitoring& clearing downed vials), non-routine aseptic interventions(filler setup, needle changeout), operating filling and autoloading equipment using automated control systems; performautomatic weight checks; assist with and performs non-routineinterventions without compromising asepticenvironment.
  • Troubleshoot process equipment andinteract with maintenancepersonnel.
  • Responsible for loading andunloading materials, labeling according to SOPs, assembling valves,connectors.
  • Recognize and report deviations orpotential issues immediately to the managementteam.
  • Communicate and report status ofequipment maintenance related issues to the area supervisor /manager and assist with actions necessary to resolveissues.
  • Perform all job responsibilities incompliance with applicable EHS / GMP regulations, guidelines,policies, GSK standard operating & safety procedures, andindustry practice and Industrial Excellenceinitiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in abiological, chemical science, engineering or degree in otherdiscipline if sufficient technical depth has been achieved fromprofessional experience.

OR

  • High School Diploma with 2+ yearsmanufacturing production, cGMP experience.

PreferredQualifications:

  • In lieu of degree, candidates withsufficient technical depth achieved from professional experience inan Aseptic environment may beconsidered.
  • Previous manufacturing orlaboratory experience requiring aseptic or sterile techniquerequired.
  • Some mechanical aptitude required inorder to operate pumps, scales and PHmeters.
  • The capability to maintain attention todetail and quality and a high level of integrity andconfidentiality, while completing multiple or repetitive tasks andmeeting timelines and deadlines.
  • Ability toread, understand, follow and comply with technical and writtendocuments (SOPs.)
  • Ability to work around acids,bases, oxidizers and cleaning solvents while wearing appropriatePPE.
  • Ability to perform calculations usingsimple mathematical formulas using fractions, percentages andsignificant numbers. The ability to measure volume andweight.
  • Must be able to follow detailedprocessing instructions, clearly and accurately documenting allnecessary batch documentation.
  • Basic computerskills required.
