Roles and responsibilities
  • The purpose of the role isto deal with the inspection, diagnosing and repair of vehiclesusing advanced diagnostic tools to identify the source of problemsand repair vehicles using Fix it Right in order to improve customerretention in compliance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)and Al-Futtaim standards, deliver the revenue budgets and imparttechnical knowledge to others such as new joiners, apprentices, ando is responsible for the entire customer journey in the workshopfrom receiving the service booking call, to booking an appointment,receiving the car, repairing the car, and the handover andinvoicing to the customer for Volvo in Dubai and AbuDhabi.

Whatyou will do:

  • Responsible for diagnosis, generalrepair, and periodic maintenance with advanced general repair (AGR)and accessories fitment as per repair manual in order to achieveproductivity, utilization and set sold hourstarget..
  • Create electronic warranty approvalrequest in Dealer Management System(SAP).
  • Start to end interactions with thecustomers during the entire customer journey, from the time ofreceiving the booking to the handover of the car andinvoice.
  • Proper usage of special servicetoolsand general tools inventory.
  • Responsible fordelivery of the vehicle on promise delivery time or customerdemand.
  • Daily interactions with Andons and theAftersales Manager to assist in developing technical skills in theteam.
  • Keep abreast of all the latestdevelopments in automotive manufacturing and technicaladvancements.
  • Thorough knowledge of parts andcomponents installation.
  • Well versed on(Oiriginal Equipment Manufacturer) OEM and Distributorstandards.
  • Ability to write technical reportson advanced general repair (AGR) cases after performingdiagnosing.
  • Ability to read and interpretcomplex documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, repair manuals and wiringdiagrams.
  • Capability to follow the system ofquality control inspection to prevent or correct faulty workmanshipwhich falls below the standard.
  • Contributes tothe success of the business by staying focused on own performance,sharing knowledge, expertise and resources withothers.
  • Understands and works within protocolwhere necessary, and understands and performs to the requirementsof Volvo.

  • - Automotive experience.
  • -Indepth technical skills.
  • - Experience withservice and maintenance in the workshop.
  • -Customer management experience and communication skills.

About theTeam:

  • Reporting to the Aftersales Managerand managing a team and will work closely with internal andexternal stakeholders.

What equips you forthe role:

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Automobile,Mechanical, Industrial, or relatedEngineering.
  • IMI LV Master Technician (L3-4) orequivalent.
  • High Level Brand Certification Eg:Diagnostic Master, Gold, L3 etc.
  • 4-6 years asLight Vehicle Technician – of which at least 2 years as aDiagnostic Technician and some experience as Service Advisor in anautomotive dealership.
  • Basic knowledge ofElectric Vehicles.
  • Technical skills, customerrelationship management skills and user skills in tools andequipment.
  • Proficient in MicrosoftOffice.
  • Valid UAE driverslicense.
