Job SummaryElectrical Inspector

TheElectrical Inspector will ensure the contractors are compliant withthe contract documents coordinate on a daily basis with the otherteams to document and verify the quality and quantity of workperformed by the Contractor and process the incoming InspectionRequests and technical submittals and perform the necessaryactions.

  • Reading and understanding thepackage contract documents detailed drawings specifications andhealth and safety measures together with any associatedupdates.
  • Ensuring the contractor(s) arecomplying with the standards and specifications of the contractdocuments through observation measurements and testing as well astracking quality assuranceprogress.
  • Maintaining records of the contractormanpower and equipment dailyresources.
  • Undertaking all site supervision andinspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer(RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer(ARE).
  • Documenting in the areas assigned to theInspector the contractors personnel and equipment activitiesobserved location of activities reason for activities and means andmethods utilised.
  •  Additionally reporton materials delivery and following and implementing any siteinstructions made by the leader. Apply and implement all qualitycontrols and quality procedures of thesite.
  •  Follow up and implement anysite instructions made by theleader.
  •  Apply and implement allquality controls and quality procedures of thesite.
  •   Prepare any site measurementsand surveying checks needed by theleader
  •   Monitoring conformance toquality performance and/or code requirements by performinginspection duties.
  • Monitor the Health andSafety of the construction works and report onviolations.

SpecificSkills Required

  • Goodknowledge in Electrical methodologies and installation processesand procedures. Knowledge of the BuildingCodes.
  •  Experience in Buildings of alltypes in particular horizontal development mixed use residentialand commercial retail andhospitality.
  •  Effective oral andwritten communication skills.
  • Competent atwriting reports can present views clearly and concisely in goodwritten English.
  • Detailed knowledge ofconstruction techniques.
  • Experience inElectrical related type projects isrequired.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates musthave experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy witha minimum of 8 years of overall experience (minimum 5 years in theUAE).
  • For the Inspector position a diplomaholder in Electrical Engineering is acceptable. For candidates whowish to progress onto Engineer level a related BSc. Degree isrequired in the Engineeringfield
