  • Plan work fordrill crew and ensure appropriate tools are ready foruse
  • Supervise compliance with safety policiesand procedures and ensure good housekeeping practices, includingdirecting safety meetings and completion ofJRAs
  • Communicate effectively, activelylisten
  • Provide assistance to other departmentsduring non-drilling operations
  • Train andevaluate direct reports
  • Reinforce safetyregulations to ensure safe work practices of therig
  • Perform various wellcalculations
  • Interpret and respond to downholecondition
