Sales/Business Development Representative (12 month Maternity Cover) Location: Dubai, UAE Overview At Ethoca, a Mastercard company, we are transforming the payments landscape and reinventing the way global merchants and issuers combat fraud and reduce costs. This role supports the team’s mission to provide innovative fraud‑prevention solutions to merchants and card issuers while enhancing the global digital economy. Role The Sales/Business Development Representative, EEMEA will join the existing Ethoca Market Development team in Dubai to cover for maternity leave. You will focus on the Merchant and Card Issuer segments, identifying potential merchants and bank partners, sourcing senior contacts, and driving early‑stage sales cycles. In This Role You Will Methodically prospect up to executive level within enterprise target customers. Initiate conversations and pipeline calls with internal stakeholders in the Mastercard Merchant and Commerce & Issuer teams. Run initial sales calls with Merchant and Issuer prospects to qualify opportunities for the Merchant and Issuer Sales team. Input and track all prospecting and lead management activities in Salesforce CRM, and qualify inbound leads via phone and email to create sales‑ready opportunities. Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas (monthly, quarterly, and annually) to meet revenue objectives. Disseminate opportunities to the local Merchant and Issuer team, educating sales executives as necessary about early‑stage opportunities. Prepare data‑driven business cases, ROI, and presentations. Represent Ethoca at industry tradeshows and networking events. Identify and understand trends within industries and customers. All About You Bachelor’s Degree required. 5+ years’ experience in a Sales/Lead Generation role (ideally selling software or SaaS). Self‑starter, working autonomously, and experienced in driving early‑stage opportunities. Experience working with Card issuers, fintechs, or payment companies. Excellent verbal and written communication, strong listening skills, and negotiation ability. Salesforce experience. Knowledge of tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Outreach.io, Drift, etc. Positive, "can‑do" attitude, and comfort with uncertainty and fast‑paced environments.
