Roles and responsibilities

A QualityManager is responsible for overseeing the qualityassurance and quality control processes within an organization toensure that products or services meet established standards andcustomer expectations. This role involves developing qualitymanagement systems, monitoring performance, implementingimprovements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industrystandards. Quality Managers work across various industries such asmanufacturing, construction, healthcare, and technology, ensuringthat every aspect of the production or service process is of highquality.

CoreResponsibilities:

  1. QualityAssurance (QA) and Quality Control(QC):

    • Develop,implement, and maintain the organization'sQuality Management System (QMS) toensure products or services meet specified qualitystandards.
    • Monitor the execution of qualitycontrol procedures and processes, ensuring that all aspects ofproduction or service delivery comply with industry and regulatorystandards.
    • Conduct audits, inspections, andtesting to verify quality standards are beingmet.

  2. ProcessImprovement:

    • Identifyareas for improvement in processes and product/service offerings,focusing on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improvingquality.
    • ImplementLean or SixSigma methodologies to optimize operationalprocesses and addressinefficiencies.
    • Collaborate with teams todesign and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) toaddress qualityissues.

  3. TeamLeadership andDevelopment:

    • Lead,mentor, and train a team of quality professionals, providingguidance and ensuring that all team members are aligned with theorganization's quality goals.
    • Fostera culture of quality across all levels of the organization,encouraging employees to take ownership of qualityissues.
    • Develop training programs and materialsto enhance employee understanding of quality standards andprocesses.

  4. RegulatoryCompliance:

    • Ensure thatproducts or services comply with relevant local, national, andinternational regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g.,ISO 9001 ,FDA , CEmarking ).
    • Prepare for externalaudits and inspections by regulatory bodies, ensuring that theorganization meets all compliancerequirements.
    • Stay current on industry trendsand regulatory changes to maintain compliance and improve qualitystandards.

  5. CustomerSatisfaction:

    • Monitorcustomer feedback and complaints related to product or servicequality, ensuring timely resolution ofissues.
    • Analyze customer satisfaction data toidentify areas for improvement in products, services, andprocesses.
    • Work closely with customer-facingteams (e.g., sales, customer service) to ensure that customerrequirements and expectations are consistentlymet.

  6. Documentationand Reporting:

    • Developand maintain documentation related to quality processes, includingquality manuals, procedures, andstandards.
    • Prepare regular reports on qualityperformance, including metrics, trends, and recommendations forimprovement, to present to seniormanagement.
    • Ensure that all quality-relatedrecords are maintained and accessible for audits andinspections.

  7. SupplierQualityManagement:

    • Work withsuppliers to ensure that raw materials and components meet theorganization's qualitystandards.
    • Conduct supplier audits andassessments, addressing any issues that may affect productquality.
    • Develop and maintain strongrelationships with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement inthe quality of materials and servicesprovided.

  8. RiskManagement:

    • Identifypotential quality risks in processes, products, or services, anddevelop strategies to mitigate theserisks.
    • Monitor and manage any quality-relatedrisks, ensuring that corrective actions are takenpromptly.
    • Conduct root cause analysis ofquality issues to identify and eliminate the underlyingcauses.

  9. Internaland ExternalCommunication:

    • Collaboratewith cross-functional teams (e.g.,operations ,engineering ,production ,R&D ) to ensure quality isintegrated into all aspects of product development andproduction.
    • Communicate quality goals,initiatives, and results to internal stakeholders and management toensure alignment with businessobjectives.
    • Build relationships with externalstakeholders, including customers, regulators, and auditors, toensure transparency in qualityprocesses.
Desired candidate profile
  • JOB PURPOSE:

Ensure appropriate definition andimplementation of ADNOC Ruwais LNG Project (ADNOC RLNG) assuranceand quality management activities within the Project. Participatein the development of Project Execution Planning (PEP). Accountablefor the implementation of the Project manuals, procedures, andstandards.

  • QUALIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree inengineering preferably in Mechanical or PetroleumEngineering

Minimum Experience& Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in leading a large team indelivering outcome to support overallproject.
  • 20 years of experience in QualityAssurance & Quality Control aspects for Projects for majorOil and Gas Projects.
  • Experience in LNGProjects would be added advantage.
  • Must have atleast three (3) years of experience in similar position forinternational Oil & Gas or Petrochemicalprojects
