Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have completed their Chartered Accountancy certification and possess 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the UAE, specifically within an auditing firm. This role requires a deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), UAE taxation, VAT compliance, and financial statement preparation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • General Ledger Management:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the general ledger.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budgetary variances and provide analysis.
  • Compliance and Audits:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Taxation:
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
  • Enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience working in the UAE, specifically within an auditing firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE tax laws, VAT regulations, and IFRS.
  • Strong proficiency in financial statement preparation, analysis, and audit methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
