Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Systems Administrator to oversee our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with our technical teams to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our computer systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the configuration, maintenance, and reliable performance of computer systems and network servers.
- Install and upgrade hardware and software components, manage virtual servers, and streamline automation processes.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues by conducting thorough diagnostics and documenting solutions.
- Provide technical documentation and specifications to support IT planning and infrastructure upgrades.
- Conduct regular backup operations and implement effective data protection and disaster recovery strategies.
- Lead desktop support initiatives, ensuring timely resolution of workstation and application issues.
- Oversee capacity planning and database performance optimization.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in database and network administration or system administration.
- Relevant system administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related areas are advantageous.
- Proficient in virtualization technologies such as VMware or similar.
- Strong understanding of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools is preferred.
- A proven history of developing and executing IT strategies and plans.
- Expertise in implementing best practices for helpdesk and IT operations, with a focus on security, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
