Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Assist with the management of engineering operations and budgets, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and running efficiently.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Assist with ensuring regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards, and oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
  • Energy Conservation: Assist with managing and controlling heat, light, and power, and recommend current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
  • Contract Management: Assist with the development of specifications and requirements for service contracts and administer such contracts to support building needs.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitor timeliness and quality of completion.
  • Grounds and Property Maintenance: Assist with the oversight of the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.
  • Long-Term Planning: Assist with the development of a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection and oversee the execution of the plan.
  • Project Management: Assist with the development of project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs, and coordinate with contractors for bids and construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.
  • Customer Relations: Build positive relationships with external customers, such as city building/zoning department, fire prevention bureau, and vendors.
  • Fire Safety: Ensure that the fire crew has a complete understanding of all procedures, equipment, and alarms.
  • Property Inspections: Perform monthly property inspections to ensure that buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition, and conduct guest room and common area inspections to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Facilities Evaluation: Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required, and recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage parts and equipment inventory.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, practices, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
