Job Summary

As a 2nd Officer/DP Operator with National Petroleum Construction Company Limited, you will be responsible for operating the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations. This role requires a strong understanding of DP systems, navigation, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the DP system to maintain vessel position and orientation as per operational requirements.

• Monitor and record DP system data to ensure accurate and reliable performance.

• Assist in the setup and maintenance of DP system operating parameters to ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborate with the Senior DP Officer to ensure compliance with IMCA requirements and safe practices related to DP operations.

• Participate in regular inspections and maintenance of DP system sensors, computers, and references to ensure accurate and reliable performance.

Requirements

• Chief Mate FG COC II/2 with no limitations and full and unlimited DP certificates from the Nautical Institute.

• Holding an IMCA DP logbook with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a DPO/2nd officer on DP vessels in the same capacity.

• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of safe practices related to DP operations.

• Ability to correct nautical charts and keep publications updated.

• Familiarity with bridge equipment and DP systems.
