Our client is a leading global investor based in Abu Dhabi, seeking a skilled Portfolio Strategist to join their growing team. This exciting opportunity will enable the effective management of the Investment Sector, working closely with the Head of Strategy & Asset Allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the fund's asset allocation strategy, ensuring optimal returns and risk management.
- Identify medium-term investment themes and opportunities in the market, providing strategic views and research.
- Monitor capital market expectations and provide insights into new investment ideas.
- Support the development and maintenance of investment risk IT systems.
- Ensure accurate collection and analysis of investment risk data.
- Represent the company at investment conferences, enhancing the development of the institutional risk monitoring and management community in the UAE.
Requirements
- A financial background and experience working in a relevant field.
- An interest in and understanding of financial markets.
- Strong relationship management skills and problem-solving competencies.
- Strong market monitoring capabilities, not just across private markets but other related markets.
- Sound judgment and enthusiasm for risk measurement and monitoring, with a focus on the overall portfolio strategy.
- A high degree of economic literacy on private and public markets, with a keen understanding of different asset classes.
- A commercial nature when viewing potential business plans and opportunities.
- A degree from a top university, ideally in law, finance, statistics, economics, or an equivalent degree.
