About the Role

This role involves:

  • Leading and managing the planning team, including line management and mentoring staff.
  • Managing and leading the delivery of complex urban planning projects, collaborating with junior team members and external stakeholders.
  • Operating as a technical lead across various planning projects, with expertise in spatial and regional planning, masterplanning, and governance frameworks.
  • Balancing demands and priorities, reviewing project deliverables, resources, and finances, and monitoring job financial performance.

Skill Requirements:

  • Technical expertise in urban planning related projects, such as spatial and regional planning, masterplanning, and sustainability.
  • A track record of winning urban planning-related work and maintaining client relationships.
  • Demonstrable project management experience, including successful multidisciplinary project delivery and complex city-scale projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and motivating a medium-sized team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
