Job Overview:

  • Pre-Contract Phase:
    • Develop detailed cost plans and estimates using BCIS and NRM1 methodologies;
    • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them;
    • Create Bills of Quantities using POMI and CESSM3 software;
    • Conduct tender analysis and make recommendations;
    • Prepare contract drafts using FIDIC guidelines;
  • Post-Contract Phase:
    • Manage bonds, insurances, and guarantee logs;
    • Process interim valuations and payment certificates;
    • Analyze variations and provide recommendations;
    • Risk and value management, as well as cost control functions;
    • Costs analysis project work;
    • Develop responses to commercial risks;
    • Prepare progress/cost reports;
    • Report to Associate Director on commercial matters;
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
    • Attend commercial meetings and represent the company;

Requirements:

  • Possess MRICS or APC status, with anticipation of completing chartership within a specified timeframe;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in rail infrastructure projects;
  • 5 years of UAE/international experience;
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized UK university;
  • Knowledge of QS software Cost X or similar;
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills;
  • Proven English language technical writing ability;
