Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will be handling financial and bookkeeping processes, including managing a team of experienced accountants. Your responsibilities will include:
- Book and record financial transactions (receivables & payables), reconcile sub-ledgers and ledgers, prepare financial statements;
- Devise monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, projections, and forecasts;
- Assess internal controls and risks and derive ways of mitigating risks;
- Prepare periodical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) and identify areas of improvement and cost savings;
- Prepare, support, and coordinate annual external audits of the company's finances.
Requirements
We are seeking an individual with at least 5 years of experience in financial management and accounting in an eCommerce business or digital startup. You should have knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. A Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or general Business Administration is required, as well as at least one accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.). Excellent communication skills in English are also necessary.
