Key Responsibilities
  • Physical Tasks:
    • Coordinate vehicle movements on and around the Tipping Floor
    • Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties in the area of responsibility
    • Assist team members in various tasks and provide support as needed
    • Operate hand tools, power hand tools, and heavy machinery such as Fork Lift and Front End Loader
  • General Tasks:
    • Adhere to all facility safety rules and procedures
    • Follow instructions from supervisors and management
    • Report any breaches of HSE procedures to supervisors or management promptly
    • Participate in HSE inspections, audits, and daily/weekly meetings
    • Contribute to company health, safety, and environmental campaigns and initiatives
    • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ONC/GCSE or equivalent
  • NVQ or GNVQ
  • City & Guilds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in waste management is beneficial but not essential
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with technology such as tablets
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Cleaning, repairing, and maintenance skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations
