Taymour Grahne Projects is a leading contemporary art gallery based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The gallery showcases the work of significant contemporary artists through various exhibitions throughout the year.

Job Role

This position requires an organised and efficient individual to provide administrative support to the gallery team. Responsibilities include managing the front of house, preparing exhibitions, and collaborating with clients and artists.

  • Front of House Operations:
    • Manage the opening and closing of the gallery space.
    • Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for clients, providing information about artworks and artists.
    • Prepare beverages for client meetings.
    • Maintain the gallery's infrastructure, coordinating maintenance and utilities.
    • Receive and distribute incoming packages to relevant staff members.
    • Coordinate exhibition preparations and events.
  • Exhibition Support Services:
    • Work closely with artists, gathering materials and creating promotional content.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for represented artists.
    • Develop press releases and online viewing rooms.
    • Format CVs and portfolios, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
    • Support the team during exhibitions, events, and art fairs, maintaining a clean and well-organised exhibition space.
    • Liaise with external suppliers for various services.
    • Monitor and update the gallery's website, ensuring accurate exhibition and press information.
    • Design and produce exhibition materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Edit images, adjusting size and quality as necessary.
    • Compose and disseminate mail-outs and exhibition announcements to the mailing list.
    • Manage contact records and calendar events.
    • Arrange travel, dining, and logistical arrangements as required.
    • Conduct regular stock checks and procure necessary supplies.
    • Maintain accurate receipt records.

Essential Requirements:

  • A positive and approachable attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Art Logic software.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required.
  • A professional and polished appearance, representing the company at all times.
  • Eligibility to work in the UAE.
  • A degree in Art History or a related field, with a solid understanding of contemporary art.
