Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager - Interior to join our team at TECCODD. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of interior fitout projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, schedule, and resource requirements. Lead project kickoff meetings and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project goals.
  2. Budget and Cost Control: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Track expenditures, manage change orders, and control financial risks to prevent cost overruns.
  3. Client and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations. Organize client meetings, presentations, and site visits to keep stakeholders informed.
  4. Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead a team of designers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring collaboration and efficient workflow. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, tracking performance and progress.
  5. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is proceeding according to plan, design specifications, and quality standards. Ensure that all work complies with local regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  6. Procurement and Vendor Management: Oversee procurement of materials and services required for the project, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best terms for the project.
  7. Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Resolve issues related to project scope, resources, or unforeseen circumstances that may arise during construction.
  8. Health and Safety: Ensure all site activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations. Conduct safety audits and provide training to team members as necessary.
  9. Project Handover and Close-Out: Oversee the final handover process, ensuring all project deliverables meet the clients' requirements. Prepare close-out documentation, including warranties, manuals, and compliance certificates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in interior fitout or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of fitout processes, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of local building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in interior fitouts or construction.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and teams in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
