About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Fashion Features Editor to join our team at Condé Nast Middle East. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for producing, commissioning, and editing fashion news and features for Vogue's print edition and all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Write fashion features and news for Vogue's print and digital platforms, from daily news hits to larger features and exclusives.
  • Story Development: Work with the Head of Editorial Content and other editorial leaders to generate, commission, and edit fashion news and feature ideas for all of Vogue's platforms.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with international colleagues in Vogue's global network to identify story opportunities from across the globe, and to contribute stories from the Middle East to the rest of the network.
  • Industry Representation: Represent Vogue within the industry, from attending retail activations, fashion forums, and regional fashion shows.
  • Commercial Partnerships: Understand and build commercial relationships, working with the revenue teams on special projects whenever necessary.
  • Relationship Building: Regularly meet with brands and local PRs and feed back to the team to build relationships, secure editorial exclusives, and ensure that Vogue remains at the forefront of the fashion conversation in the Middle East.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of any and all industry developments and news to ensure that our coverage of fashion across print and digital is both informed and unique.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience at a digital or print publisher, in a senior fashion editorial role, writing copy and commissioning and editing colleagues.
  • A flair for storytelling and a proven track record of identifying trends and topics to cover - and the best way in which to write and engage with our audience.
  • Experience with SEO, and using and acting on data collected from key analytics tools.
  • Experience of commerce content is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the Middle East market, with a solid network of regional and international contacts.
  • Good interpersonal communications skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across myriad departments and differing levels of seniority.
  • Thorough Knowledge of the Vogue brand.
  • A comprehensive contacts book, encompassing everything from Hollywood PRs to blockbuster contributors.
  • Experience of working closely with business teams to identify and collaborate on revenue-generating projects, whether commercial or consumer.
