Job Title: Site Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Architect to join our team at GHD. As a key member of our architectural team, you will be responsible for leading the coordination process with other disciplines and ensuring that all architectural works are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the coordination process with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in performing contractual duties onsite and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Process contract documents and assist contract administration to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Develop, modify, and review production drawings and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Correct and update design documents to reflect changes and ensure consistency.
  • Serve as an architectural resource for the Design department and provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s) and coordinate application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
  • Advise the project manager on technical aspects of architectural works that may affect construction progress, quality, and other related factors.
  • Monitor interior architectural works for conformance with contract documents and procedures manual.
  • Review and process all shop drawings and architectural technical submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Answer RFI's related to interior and architecture and provide timely responses to ensure project progress.
  • Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Review Contractor's installation method statements and provide feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review Contractor's shop drawings against design drawings for compliance with design intent and provide comments/approval as needed.
  • Review Contractor's material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Project Manager on appropriateness.
  • Review Contractor's proposed subcontractors associated with engineering works from a technical standpoint.
  • Monitor procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
  • Undertake general project site observation/inspection of works for Contractor's adherence to approved shop drawings and Consultant's specification, good working practices, construction schedule, and health & safety.
  • Lead the snagging and de-snagging process with an aim to progress the works to completion through this process.
  • Attend project, site progress, and any related technical meetings as directed by the project manager.
  • Prepare draft site/engineer's instructions relating to the project as required and issue to the Project Manager.
