Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Automation Engineer to support the scoping, engineering, and design execution of electrical, controls, and automation engineering for capital projects. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to Client Engineering, Factory engineering, and local Project Management Organization (PMO) engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead electrical, controls, and automation engineering and design for Capital Projects, collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers.
  2. Develop and execute electrical, controls, and automation engineering and design deliverables, including power distribution single-line diagrams, network topology diagrams, control panel layouts, and safety logic tables.
  3. Create Capital Project scopes of work, support project schedules, and develop requests for proposal (RFP) for engineering and design services.
  4. Provide technical support for project engineering and design deliverables executed by Factory engineering, local Project teams, and 3rd party engineering and design consultants.
  5. Support responses to consultant and contractor requests for information (RFI's) during engineering, construction, and commissioning.
  6. Provide engineering support to the construction team during construction closeout activities and commissioning.
  7. Offer technical coaching and training to Factory engineering resources, local PMO engineering resources, and 3rd party consultants on project execution and electrical and automation requirements.
  8. Review and approve project approval drawings and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field AND 5+ years of experience with control systems design in a food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing environment, including startup & commissioning of new production lines.
  • Competency in PLC (Rockwell Automation, Modicon) and PC-Based -HMI/SCADA (iFIX and Ignition) design, programming, and implementation.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team of engineers, operations, and maintenance team members.
  • Ability to read and interpret control schematics, wiring diagrams, power distribution single-line diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Safety and Hazardous Energy Control Procedures (HECP).
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electric Code), electrical installation and wiring practices.
  • Competency in Siemens PLC design, programming, and implementation.
