About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Planning Assistant to join our team at Chalhoub Group. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our merchandise planning processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting and Analysis: Provide weekly, monthly, and yearly sales reporting and summary of key performance indicators relating to sales, sell-through, stock, profit, and markdown versus budget and last year.
  2. File Maintenance: Support with maintaining key files (Master Orders, OTB templates) that drive the planning and trading process throughout the season.
  3. Support to Merchandising Team: Provide crucial support to the Merchandising team by analysing sales trends, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining stock levels.
  4. Delivery and Replenishment: Work with the Senior Coordinators, Merchandisers, and Buyers to control deliveries, allocations, and replenishment.
  5. Brand Business Reviews: Responsible for creating Brand Business Reviews for Buying and CEO appointments.
  6. Markdown Management: Responsible for ensuring that the markdown master file is aligned to the markdown calendar and integral data is kept updated with the brands carryover and markdown lists.
  7. Daily Sales Report: Responsible for running a daily sales report communicating vital sales and stock information vs budget and LY.
  8. Product Promotion: Support the Merchandising team to identifying products for promotional and markdown activities.
  9. Planning and OTB Process: Support the Merchandising team during the planning and OTB process including Basics forecasting and EOS lessons learnt.
  10. Pre-Market Analysis: Support the Merchandising and Buying team with pre-market analysis packs.
  11. Data Integrity: Work closely with the Merchandisers to manage data integrity such as seasonality and pricing.
  12. Key Contact: Key contact for merchandise reporting and all aspects of merchandising processes and system use.
  13. Ad Hoc Administration: Supporting with any other ad hoc administration required within the merchandising function.
Requirements
  1. Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English.
  2. Technical Skills: Knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
  3. Product Knowledge: Passionate about product, strong market, and brand awareness.
  4. Organizational Skills: Exceptionally organized, methodical, and efficient.
  5. Time Management: Time keeping & ability to meet stringent deadlines.
  6. Pro-Active Approach: Pro-active in their approach to tasks and development.
