Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Health eCareers. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Conduct MRI scans, explain procedures to patients, and obtain patient history and imaging screens.
  • Image Quality: Select and apply imaging parameters, perform tuning procedures, and utilize protocols to produce optimal images.
  • Patient Care: Position patients, select monitoring devices, and provide optimal patient care.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment, supplies, and work area in accordance with department guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Successful completion of an accredited educational program in radiological technology and an on-the-job or formal training program in cross-sectional anatomy and magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Experience: Two years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care medical center, with six months of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist.
  • Certifications: Certification by the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Certification: Advanced Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging issued by the ARRT.
  • Experience with GE MRI Systems: Experience with GE MRI systems and additional training in the use and practices of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
