Ghobash Group, a proud member of the Ghobash Group, has made significant contributions to the Oil & Gas sector of the UAE for nearly 20 years. We have executed both onshore and offshore projects, with key clients including Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors in this sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Create wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, panel layouts, and cable routing plans.
- Evaluate designs against ADNOC specifications, industry codes, and UAE regulations.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to gather information and clarify design requirements.
- Coordinate with other drafting teams for integrated project deliverables.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Review drawings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project scope.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between design drawings and project requirements.
- Assist in site surveys and data collection to incorporate field conditions into designs.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I Draftsman, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.
- ADNOC projects experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting software.
- Familiarity with E&I standards such as IEC, NEC, and ADNOC guidelines.
- Understanding of P&IDs, SLDs, and control system architecture.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in English.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as SmartPlant, PDMS, or Revit.
- Experience with offshore and onshore projects in the UAE.
- Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation practices.
