About the Role

\

AECOM is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our water treatment group. The successful candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, particularly in water and wastewater treatment, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.

\

Key Responsibilities

\
  • \
  • Develop process flow diagrams and P&IDs for water and wastewater treatment plants.\
  • Conduct process engineering calculations and simulations to optimize plant performance.\
  • Design surveys and assessments of existing processes and equipment.\
  • Lead feasibility studies and optioneering exercises to identify cost-effective solutions.\
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all technical documents are prepared in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.\
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and peers on process design and commissioning.\
  • Assist with process commissioning support to site teams.\
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.\
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.\
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with AECOM's quality plan and technical specifications.\
  • Participate in business development activities to identify new opportunities.\
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the water treatment group.\
  • Act as a subject matter expert for process engineering within the company.\
  • Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.\
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve common goals.\
  • Deliver presentations and reports to clients and internal stakeholders.\
  • Coach and mentor junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge.\
  • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities to grow the water treatment group.\
  • Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures.\
  • Attend meetings and conferences to stay updated on industry developments.\
  • Recommend process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.\
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and innovative solutions.\
  • Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the company.\
  • Play an active role in promoting AECOM's services to clients and stakeholders.\
  • Represent the company at external events and conferences.\
  • Develop strategic relationships with key clients and partners.\
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.\
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment within the team.\
  • Drive business growth through proactive marketing and business development efforts.\
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of project progress and outcomes.\
  • Analyzing data and metrics to improve business performance.\
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.\
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjusting strategies accordingly.\
  • Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive repeat business and referrals.\
  • Contributing to the development of AECOM's thought leadership and expertise in process engineering.\

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • \
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.\
  • At least 10 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.\
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent qualification.\
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and regulations.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.\
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.\
  • Experience with process simulation software and AutoCAD.\
  • Knowledge of FMEA techniques would be advantageous.\">
