Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ESS Engineer to join our team at Energy Jobline. As an ESS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing energy storage systems for utility-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Energy Storage Capacity Assessment: Evaluate and assess the energy storage capacity of various systems, including battery storage and other technologies.
  • Charge/Discharge Management: Develop and implement strategies for optimal charge and discharge of energy storage systems.
  • Technology Selection: Conduct thorough research and analysis to select the most suitable energy storage technologies for our projects.
  • Control System Interface: Design and implement control systems that interface with power and offtakers, ensuring seamless energy transfer and management.
  • ESS Farm Design: Lead the design and development of energy storage farm projects, including site evaluation, layout, and geotechnical works.
  • Interface with Stakeholders: Collaborate with process teams, solar/wind teams, and OHTL and substations designers to ensure effective energy storage system integration.
  • Safety Assessment: Conduct thorough safety assessments and develop hazard identification and risk assessment (Hazid/Hazop) reports, working closely with our process safety team.
  • Vendor Selection: Develop and issue requests for information (RFI) and requests for quotation (RFQ) to pre-select vendors, ensuring accurate OPEX and CAPEX estimates, technical specifications, and decommissioning plans.
