**Job Title:** Senior Manager - Payments and Clearing Operations

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Payments and Clearing Operations team. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of payments and clearing professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  2. Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize payments and clearing processes, streamlining workflows and maximizing efficiency.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of all retail banking payments, adhering to all relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  4. UAE Payments Ecosystem: Maintain a strong understanding of the UAE payments ecosystem, including regulations, clearing mechanisms, and best practices.
  5. Cash Management: Oversee cash management activities, ensuring optimal liquidity levels and adherence to internal control procedures.
  6. IT Project Collaboration: Collaborate relating to delivery of IT projects related to payments and clearing operations, working collaboratively with IT teams.
  7. Expert Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance to the wider business on all matters related to payments and clearing.
  8. Risk Management: Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational risk management and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 10 years+ proven experience as a Senior Manager or Team Leader within payments and clearing operations in a retail banking environment (UAE experience essential).
  2. Education: Degree in a Finance related subject with supporting work experience.
  3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a demonstrable track record of motivating and developing a high-performing team.
  4. Payments Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of payments and clearing processes, regulations, and best practices within the UAE.
  5. Cash Management: Excellent understanding of cash management principles and practices.
  6. Project Management: Proven project management experience, with a successful record of delivering IT and operational projects on time and within budget. PMP/PRINCE2 would be advantageous.
  7. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
  8. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements: Candidates MUST have GCC experience and be based in the UAE.
