Job Description:

Biomedical Technician

This position will be physically located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and Thumrait, Oman.

The overall purpose of this position is to provide medical equipment maintenance support to prepositioned GPMS medical assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides continuity and training for military by the deployed V2X team at deployment locations during unit change
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on all medical technology and equipment
  • Provides in person, telephonic and email technical support for providers
  • Provides technical guidance for providers ordering new equipment or technology
  • Maintains equipment records, OEM manuals, service literature and schematics
  • Installs new equipment and software as needed
  • Trains medical staff on operation and daily maintenance of medical technology and equipment
  • Maintains hazardous material inventory in accordance with all Federal, DoD, US Air Force and US Army and V2X policies and technical directives.
  • Maintains all tools, TMDE and spare parts in accordance with all Federal, DoD, US Air Force, US Army and V2X policies and technical directives.

Working Environment:

  • The worker may be subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100F degrees for periods of more than one hour unless restricted due to temperature and specific OSHA and military guidelines for safety.
  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur primarily inside with limited work outside.
  • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or limited ventilation.

Physical Activities:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
