We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team.

Job Description

The Biomedical Equipment Technician provides maintenance services on all medical equipment, regardless of origin or location. This includes receipt, preventive maintenance, repair, calibration, inventory control and approved modification.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receives and inspects medical equipment, documenting identification data for entry into the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.
  2. Performs preventive maintenance on medical equipment, adhering to manufacturer guidelines for testing and utilizing diagnostic test equipment to ensure operational and safety requirements are met.
  3. Calibrates medical equipment, following manufacturer procedures and employing required test and measurement equipment to ensure accurate results.
  4. Repairs medical equipment by analyzing and troubleshooting malfunctions using electronic schematics, diagnostic testing equipment, and manufacturer technical literature.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in personal computer use, Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of physiology, electronics, mechanical systems, optics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and radiation principles applicable to biomedical equipment support systems.
  • Eligibility for a US Secret Security Clearance.
  • A valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation driver's license.
