Job Description
The role of a Risk Management Lead in the Health Line of Business involves ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of risk management processes and procedures aligned with Allianz Partners' Global risk management framework and relevant regulations.
Closely collaborating with first and second line of defense leaders across the company, the Risk Management Lead will ensure timely and transparent identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across the LoB, as well as effectively integrating the internal control system within their areas of responsibility.
This position will provide support for internal control programs and projects aimed at identifying and managing significant risks related to financial reporting, information technology, legal, compliance, and operations.
In addition, the Risk Management Lead will contribute to the Allianz Partners Global Risk Centre of Competences (CoCs) and lead some CoCs based on topic or seniority level.
The Risk Management Lead will report directly to the Senior Risk Manager / Team Leader Health and have global responsibility for the LoB Health.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee, coordinate, and lead risk management topics for Allianz Partners' Health Line of Business, including topics across global locations as required.
- Act as Single Point of Contact for risk topics across the organization.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the Health business and liaise closely with management.
- Work with business units and provide risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives.
- Support the management, monitoring, and reporting of global business operations risks.
- Conduct risk assessments to determine impacts of risk issues and facilitate appropriate escalation and implementation of decisions.
- Provide feedback to inquiries relating to risk monitoring actions.
- Support and provide advice during decision-making processes.
- Monitor news around market and evaluate current and potential risk exposure.
- Identification of changing regulations and industry risk trends that may have an enterprise-wide impact.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk management activities.
- Participate in the organisation, as well as lead and present topics in the Health Risk Committee and other meetings as required.
- Facilitate the risk management process and provision of risk management delivery support (this includes among others, the Top Risk Assessment and Internal Control Framework).
- Coordinate the effective implementation and maintaining of a network of Risk and Internal Control coordinators as well as the provision of risk training to the wider business. Promote a positive risk culture within the business.
