About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our Client of Talentmate team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing and ensuring the timely payment of outstanding customer invoices.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in credit control or accounts receivable, with a solid understanding of financial management principles and practices. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in financial management software and Excel.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Monitoring and controlling credit limits for customers.
  • Analyzing credit risks associated with new and existing customers.
  • Establishing credit terms and conditions in accordance with company policies.
  • Reviewing delinquent accounts and communicating with customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Resolving payment issues and negotiating payment plans with customers.
  • Maintaining accurate credit records and updating customer credit profiles.
  • Monitoring and reporting on accounts receivable and aging reports.
  • Collaborating with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit-related issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures.
  • Staying up to date with changes in credit regulations and industry standards.

You Will Need

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
  • Strong knowledge of credit management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Excel.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in credit analysis.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific credit regulations and best practices is a plus.
