About the Role

FORTES EDUCATION is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant - Inclusion to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Support Plans: Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualized support plans that cater to the unique needs of our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or learning barriers.
  2. Provide In-Class Support: Offer targeted support in lessons to ensure students with SEND or learning barriers have equal access to learning opportunities and can achieve their full potential.
  3. Work in Partnership with Teachers: Collaborate with teachers to identify and address the needs of students, and to develop strategies to support their learning and progress.
  4. Promote Inclusion and Acceptance: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the acceptance and inclusion of all students, regardless of their background or abilities.
  5. Monitor and Record Progress: Regularly monitor and record the progress of students, and provide feedback to teachers on their learning and development.
  6. Support Teacher Planning: Work with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and learning barriers
