Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team at Staffmark Group. As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for managing accounting software programs to process business transactions, including accounts receivable, invoicing, and receipts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing: Enter sales orders, add freight costs, and distribute invoices to customers on a daily basis.
  • Accounts Receivable: Prepare daily check deposits, process credit card transactions, generate monthly statements, and handle customer inquiries.
  • Document Scanning/Indexing: Prepare, scan, and index AR invoices and other accounting documents on a daily basis.
  • Receptionist Duties: Answer and forward phone calls, greet customers, sort and distribute mail, and assist with supply orders.
  • Other Responsibilities: Provide accounting and clerical support, maintain accurate records, and assist company personnel as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven accounting experience, preferably in accounts receivable or accounts payable, and 1 year of bookkeeping experience.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Data entry and word processing skills.
  • Organized and pleasant attitude.
  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay starts at $15/hour, negotiable based on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including weekly pay via direct deposit or pay card, access to a dedicated local team, employee discounts, referral bonuses, and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401K options.
