About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Design Specialist to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality piping designs and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Piping Design and Draughting: Execute piping design and draughting activities, including concept, front-end engineering development, technical study, and detailed design.
  • Design Review and Approval: Review and approve piping designs to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineering personnel, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule, and that all designs meet the required technical quality standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with technical developments, national and international standards, and legislative requirements related to piping design.
  • Team Leadership: Provide technical assistance and guidance to assigned personnel, and assist lead/senior engineers as required.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in piping design and draughting, with a strong background in Brownfield offshore experience and Smart Plant 3D modeling and reviewing software.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of piping design principles, standards, and regulations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
