Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil, gas, or petrochemical sectors.
  • Experience in project work, particularly in Gas Plants and Refineries, is advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of fundamental instrumentation and control systems, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis.
  • Proven track record in instrument selection tailored to process applications.
  • Strong knowledge of boiler control, process heater control, and process furnace control aligned with project process requirements.
  • Expertise in materials and material selection for inline instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems for instrumentation, encompassing cabling, wiring techniques, grounding, materials, and control circuits. Experience in hazardous area design implementation is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various national and international standards, particularly those related to ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC.
  • Field experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industries with diverse instrument and control installations. Candidates should have participated in plant construction, commissioning, start-up, or operations, including the selection and installation of field instruments, cables, enclosures, trays, hazardous area installations, and grounding.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) and their implementation. Experience with Foundation Fieldbus is required.
  • Experience with selected project vendor's Project Control System (PCS) and Final Acceptance Test (FAT).
  • Proficient in computer use with advanced skills in office and technical software.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal.
