We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Environmental Expert to join our team at COVERAGE GIFTS TRADING LLC.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage environmental impact assessments for marine-related projects, identifying and evaluating potential impacts on marine ecosystems, water quality, air quality, and coastal communities.
- Develop and implement mitigation measures to minimize adverse environmental effects, including pollution, habitat destruction, and disturbances to marine life.
- Ensure that projects comply with local, national, and international environmental regulations and standards, such as those set by environmental protection agencies or marine protection organizations.
- Work on initiatives to protect marine biodiversity, including sensitive habitats such as coral reefs, mangroves, and wetlands, and species such as endangered marine mammals, fish, and birds.
- Promote the sustainable development of marine resources, balancing the need for economic growth with environmental protection, particularly in the context of offshore energy, shipping, and coastal infrastructure projects.
- 10 years of experience in marine environmental engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in UAE.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Marine Science, or related disciplines.
- Master's degree in Environmental Science or Coastal Engineering is advantageous.
- Proficiency in environmental modeling tools and software (e.g., MIKE21, Delft3D).
- Strong knowledge of UAE and international environmental regulations and standards.
- Relevant certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for environmental impact mitigation.
