GEMS Founders School - Al Mizhar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of English Secondary to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and ensuring student development, progress, and well-being. They will lead teaching and learning, manage policy within the context of the Subject Area, and lead and manage people and teams. The ideal candidate will have a certified teaching qualification, at least 4 years of solid and demonstrable experience in teaching up to A Level English in a British curriculum school, and excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills. They will also have a creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom. Key responsibilities include:

* Promoting and ensuring student development, progress, and well-being
* Leading teaching and learning and managing policy within the context of the Subject Area
* Leading and managing people and teams
* Managing resources
* Promoting and representing the House

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and experience:

* A certified teaching qualification, at degree level such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent
